Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

SubWise is operated by Subwise SRL ("we", "us", "our"), a subscription tracking service available at subwise.app. We help individuals and businesses track their recurring subscriptions and billing cycles.

2. What data we collect

Email address — used to create and identify your account via magic link login.
Subscription data — names, costs, renewal dates, and categories of subscriptions you add manually or that we detect from your emails.
Email access tokens — OAuth tokens (for Gmail) or app passwords (for other providers) used to read your inbox for billing emails. We store these securely to enable scanning.
Billing plan — which SubWise plan you are on (Starter, Pro, Family, Business).

3. How we use your data

To provide the subscription tracking service
To scan your email inbox for billing and subscription emails (only when you initiate a scan)
To send renewal reminder notifications to your email address
To manage your account and billing plan

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Email access

When you connect your email account, SubWise requests read-only access. We:

Only read emails when you click "Scan for subscriptions"
Only look for billing, invoice, and subscription-related emails
Never send emails from your account
Never store the raw content of your emails — only the extracted subscription details (name, cost, date)
Never share email content with third parties

We use the Claude AI (by Anthropic) to analyze email content. Email content is sent to Anthropic's API for processing and is subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS). We use Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure each user can only access their own data. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data including subscriptions, email tokens, and billing information is permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your account and all associated data
Disconnect your email account at any time from your dashboard
Export your subscription data as CSV

To exercise these rights, email us at support@subwise.app or use the account deletion option in your dashboard.

8. Third-party services

Supabase — database and authentication
Anthropic (Claude) — AI email analysis
Google OAuth — Gmail connection
Resend — transactional email delivery
Vercel — hosting and infrastructure

9. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
